Items disappear from library

Good day…

Long time user of MC (28.9.106 64 bit)- although my usage is pretty simple…. I’m only using it with audio files.

Occasionally, upon starting MC, I find that entire artists’ items no longer appear in my library (or associated playlists). My workarounds have been:
1) Reimport, but that doesn’t correct any playlists the missing items might have been in.
2) Restore library, but that doesn’t address any playlist changes that have taken place since the date of the restore file, and it’s a crap shoot picking the “best” restore.

I’d love a permanent solution (and won’t consider upgrading to MC 29 until that happens), but would accept any workarounds  that can help me resolve playlist issues.

Try turning off removing broken links in auto-import.  It's the "Fix broken links" setting.

Thanks for the quick response...  I've made that change.

Will that prevent items from disappearing, or help with preserving playlists upon the next import?

They shouldn't go away again.  Why they are missing is another question.  Maybe it's temporary?

Good deal...  So, I should only have to recreate any mixed-up playlists one more time?  Thanks again!
