iPod Problems
« on: March 09, 2003, 02:23:31 am »

Hi-

My iPod works great when I first add files and playlists to it...I do not synchronize; I manually add the files.  My problem is that when I go back and add files at a later date, my previous playlists disappear, and so do the vast majority of my songs.

Everything looks as if it is there in MC9 when I click on the device, but it is definitely missing from the iPod.  Any ideas?  I have tried AShawley's instructions to the "T" with no luck on this...

Thanks,

Mike Tschirret

Mike,

If you haven't updated your Plug-in since Friday afternoon, please redownload the Plug-in. There was a  bug that might cause this that I fixed and posted Friday afternoon.

Steve-

Still no luck even with a clean format, etc.  I load up some songs, create a couple playlists, and everything is fine.  As soon as I add some songs later, the playlists disappear with about half of the songs.

I'm also getting "core errors" occasionally when I click on the iPod.  It's as if the program is having problems redrawing the screen...Everything in the right pane goes fuzzy and then it crashes.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mike,

That should not be. Can you try either downloading the latest MC build (from yesterday) or redownload the Plugin from the MC Handheld page at...
