JRiver 22 won't open, JRiver won't let me upgrade

traybat:
Purchased a used MacMini 3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5 2018 Running Monterey 12.5 for my new main rig.  I tried to install my old JRiver 22 but it won't open.  I purchased an upgrade to JRiver 29 using the old 22 license but got a pop-up saying it was an old license- can't find a place to enter my new one.  I'd rather not spend even more money to purchase a new license.  Any ideas?

Awesome Donkey:
A version of MC29 for Mac isn't available yet that can accept the new license. Gotta wait until the person who does Mac development to come back from vacation to release new MC29 builds for Mac and Linux that do.

dialectic:
I've had a trial version of the most recent version for Mac installed for 30 days. I just paid $80 for a "master license". When I try to install the license on the Mac, I get the message:  "You are using Media Center 29 Mac to install a license for a different version."

So I understand that I cannot use the software that I've installed and paid for until someone gets back from vacation?

Yes.  Should be about three weeks.  He took six weeks off to visit Turkey and beyond.  He's worked at JRiver for about forty years, so he deserves it.

You can blame me for being short sighted.  I'm sorry.

dialectic:
I appreciate the apology, but am I just supposed to use other music software until the engineer returns from vacation?
