Request: Hotkeys to set Rating

What's missing in the current Media Center is an easy way to set the rating.
I would like to be able to set the appropriate rating with one click from my remote control. So whenever I hear a song I can easliy mark it.
To make this possible, there just needs to be a hotkey for each rating. For example CTRL+ALT+1 is rating 1,  CTRL+ALT+2 is rating 2, etc.
This would allow any program like girder to directly control this setting.
Any way to get something like that in?

is it possible that this rating set functionality could be added to the command line interface as well?
