Not smooth playback

Try going into MC's settings > Audio > Advanced section and setting Auto configure output on playback error to Yes and see if that helps.

If integer mode and or exclusive mode are set in MC's audio settings, turn them off.

They are off by default. Also when setting options often MC30 freezes.

MC's audio options are really quite simple. It just asks MacOS what devices it has and what their capabilities are.
It really sounds like you have an issue with something connected to your audio subsystem on your Mac or have a hardware problem.
