Installing JRiver Media Center on MacOS / OSX

<< < (3/3)

JohnBoye:
Hi, I'm having problems with JRiver Media Center 30 I've used 5 of my restore codes since it stopped working. Everything else is working on my Mac and JRiver used to work perfectly so what am I doing wrong? I remove all former copies of the Media Center and install the latest version. I input my key code and my Mac tells me that has been installed correctly. However, when I try and open Media Center its just permanently application not responding. Can anybody help? Thanks

JimH:
Let it run.

It might have a corrupted settings file. If you have a library backup (Usually under Documents/JRiver) you can remove the settings files and try again.
From a terminal
rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/J\ River/Media\ Center\ 30/Settings/*.ini

I had the same problem as jhamilton:

Something went wrong with playback.
Details:
The file could not be opened for read access (error O). Check
permissions, ownership, and that the file is not in use by
another program.

The suggestion to go to system Preferences - Full disc access - add and check Media Center....This worked for me.  It was unnecessary on all previous generations of Media Center but it fixed this problem.
