Astrophotography Pictures Not Displaying Correctly?
« on: October 02, 2022, 08:09:19 am »

Hi there,

I've recently imported a lot of astrophotography pictures into JRiver MC and noticed a lot of them display too bright compared to the actual picture, it seems to only apply to .dng file types.

Thanks for any help correcting this :)

Edit:
Oops I'm actually still on MC26 for Mac. I saw Bob replied to a previous thread I made about this a while ago. Will email him... if there is a known fix please let me know still.

Thanks

I didn't get any reply from Bob, would an upgrade to the latest MC solve this issue? If I convert the format from .dng to .tiff they are OK, just a bit long winded having to do it for every picture one by one.

Thanks for any advice

If you are on MC26 I'd do a trial of MC30.
The code that handles the dng format is libRaw.
It is definitely newer in MC29 than MC26. That code has not changed from MC29 to MC30 (because it's current).
