How do I darken the audio progression bar?

That's controlled by the Skin.  You might try a different skin that has higher contrast.  Not sure which skin you are using.

My current favorite is Dream In Blue.  Nice contrast and a pleasing overall presentation.

In the menu up top:  View > Skin > (pick a skin here)

Installing new skins requires copying the new skin to the JRiver skins folder.  But it comes with about a dozen for you to try.

Honestly though, I usually find them in the forums and download them from the author's announcement on the forum.  My link above for Dream In Blue is a good example:  It's a forum post with a direct link to download the Dream In Blue skin.

I hope that's what you were asking.
