Hello everyone.
I hope you are having a good holiday!!!

I'm using MC 29.0.86 on Linux and I'm very satisfied!!!
I would like to understand if/how you can do a couple of things that I would like.
1. I use a DAC (Okto) which can input the signal from a CD player and send it to the PC via USB (DAC and PC are connected via USB ...)
I would like MC to take this incoming signal from the DAC, pass it through its DSP, and send it back to the DAC through the same USB socket.
2. I would like to use MC for watching TV too. With the IPTV settings I have some problems, but I have seen that, using the "streaming" section, I can access the web pages of the various TV stations, and also the radios (which is very welcome...). In this way the sound of the broadcasts is sent to the TV set via HDMI... and I like that!
Sometimes though, I'd like to route the audio through the MC's DSP, then send it to the DAC, and then to the stereo system.

I would like to know if these things are possible (how to do them...) or, if they can't be done, if there are plans to make them possible.

I don't think this is really possible in JRiver on Linux.

What DSP do you typically use?

I actually have a little project sitting around that's an embedded linux machine which processes audio in real time from a specific source. It was pretty trivial to set up, a real bulk of the work was making sure that things are really 'as close' to real time which meant really playing with settings and my kernel config (among other things).

aloop is going to be your friend here. ( so temperamental for me, like I said, I really had to mess around with settings to get it 'flawless' )

Out of curiosity, what's everyone using for audio plugins / processing on linux?
Like, I know bitwig is around and they're fun. I guess I should probably spend a few days poking around with Windows VSTs on Linux again, I have a feeling there's a smarter way to 'do' it that I haven't seen before. The truth is, most of the audio processing you *need* is not available on linux, at least in the professional / broadcast realm.

Just a curiosity: is it possible to do this in Windows?
As for the DSP: I use, or rather I will use, the jriver internal convolution (maybe I called it wrong DSP...), for the equalizer functions for levels and phase, and for the crossover (I'm a multi-amplifier...).

The windows build does support this feature (multiple different implementations in fact)
