Streaming Websites Not Saved

<< < (2/3) > >>

Day Radebaugh:
This whole area of streaming appears simply not to work very well in MC, except in very selected instances.  Even when you click on one of the built-in streams, such as Soma FM (an extremely popular alternative site), you get the screen attached, which essentially goes nowhere.  You can click Listen Now, but the page never loads.

Investigated the recommended solution, Cloudplay, but that appears to be a vehicle for storing playlists, which are not streams.  Thought the problem might be in the browser I use, which is Chrome, so looked for the parameter to switch browsers, but that does not exist either, at least in this Mac version.

I'm stuck.

JimH:
Cloudplay is streaming.  Try it.

Day Radebaugh:
Thanks.  I finally got it running.  Not really to my taste, but it does offer a way to share playlists.

Appreciate the help.

--- Quote from: Day Radebaugh on November 16, 2022, 08:02:10 am ---My goal is to provide a more extensive list of Internet radio stations than are provided in native MC Streaming.

I have succeeded in adding the websites of several radio stations to MC by simply adding the website url.  Some work, some don't,  but that's OK: MC tells you some will be compatible, some won't.

However, for those that seem to work, and that I save, the url's don't seem to have been saved from one session to the next.   I click the links that used to work and find a blank url.

Am I doing something wrong?  if not, can this be fixed?

Thanks

Do you have a simple example of a URL you add via open URL that doesn't saves but then doesn't work later?
Also, what version of MacOS are you running? Ventura has issues with the web interface.

Day Radebaugh:
I'm on 12.4 Monterey.

Here are some screen shots, first of adding wdvx.com, then verify it's there, then trying to access it and getting a blank screen
