Cloudplay and http:\\
(1/1)
wynnytsky:
If I like a track on cloudplay and I send it to a playlist, the URL get's recorded in my library as http://RadioJRiver:...
This is true for both windows and mac (single computer setup)
But if I have a JRiver-on-Mac client connected to a JRiver-on-Win library, then any track I add to my library will be recorded as http:\\RadioJRiver:...
I didn't detect this for a while because Mac is perfectly happy streaming from both http://RadioJRiver and http:\\RadioJRiver tracks. It's only an issue when I want to do listening from the server or other hardware endpoints.
When JRiver-on-Win tries to playback from http:\\RadioJRiver, this is the dialog that comes up...
--- Quote ---Playback Problem
Something went wrong with playback.
Details:
The file could not be opened for read access (error 3). Check permissions, ownership, and that the file is not in use by another program.
--- End quote ---
NOTE: I haven't tried a Mac=>Mac setup and I can't recall seeing this issue when I was Win=>Win

Are you using a portable library?
