Yeah, you don’t need an “audiophile ethernet cable.” As long as you align your run-of-the-mill ethernet cable perpendicular to the earth’s magnetic field, place a Mpingo block on each cable, and spray your HTPC with Armor-all, you’re all set. ;D

I have runs of "ordinary" CAT6 cable in my house, Some of the runs are over 30 feet long, and are run in all directions across multiple floors of my house.
I have sent hundreds of gigabytes across those cables, many times the files are verified on the receiving end via a hash.
In the years (decades?) I have been doing this, I've never seen a bit error due to the cable. Never.

yeah - that whole design to ensure packets are received/retransmitted seems to work just fine.
Looks like Zybex is onto the "real deal" however. That Melcos one is just some cheap knockoff!!!
