MC disappeared as audio device after uninstall older version

I'm on MC27 but also had 26 installed. Yesterday I uninstalled MC26 and this morning after PC restart MC is no longer present as an audio device in Windows10. It plays music by itself, but is not detected as output device by the OS and other players (I use the MC WDM driver for all sound from the PC).

I uninstalled MC26 with Revo uninstaller and manually selected some "leftover" items for deletion not deleted by the default MC un install. :-\

Do I need to completely reinstall?

Any help appreciated.
