Time for a new JRiver CEO?

(1/6) > >>

jmone:
So Jim is Old.  I mean pre-industrial revolution old.  He used to sell devices that burnt wood for a living.  It's not just in years but in mind:
- every couple of years, he chucks on his Rose Tinted Glasses and puts up posts like this on the "good ol days".
- he thinks the metric system is the work of the devil (even though he is a Francophile)
- will not wear a white turtle neck
- did not like Google Glass

Don't get me wrong, he was a pioneer in the field at the time but the stereo ear horn never really took off.

So, while he is swanning around in Paris (again) trying to gum a baguette to death, it's time to plan a Coup d'état.  It's time for new blood.  Someone with the vision to create a JRiver Coin and put those 100GB Videos on a Block Chain.  Vive la révolution!  (what is it with the French and all these slogans in pop culture).

It only seems fair however to first consider either his (forced) retirement or, as is so popular with modern day emperors, elevation to "Dictator for Life".  The choice is ours!  Make your vote count!  blah blah blah (you get the rest).

jmone:
...well my Coup d'état is off to a terrible start.
- only 10% of those reading the thread seem to be even vaguely aware of who Jim is to have bothered voting and, of that
- over half want Jim as "Dictator for Life", and most worrying is that
- only one has voted for him to go (& I've got a funny feeling that could be Jim himself).

In the proud tradition of ***insert country name here***, if it keeps going like this I'll be editing the poll directly.

Most of the team is still sleeping.

Nevermind the voting results, let's storm the headquarters. It didn't work so well in Washington and Brasília, but third time is the charm!

zybex:
Here's a retirement gift  ;D
