License Problem
« on: February 13, 2023, 12:11:22 am »

My last purchase of JRiver was ver 27, I liked JRiver for the most part. The biggest pet peeve I have with this software is the randow times it demands that I enter my license, (restore). As it just did, I haven't used JRiver in some time. Every time I open it I get the demand to re enter my license number (restore)

Why (restore)? design software that annoys your user? The restore gives me a license for ver 25.

The (restore) license sent to me (ver 25) tells me it is not valid! As I mentioned, I purchased ver 27. The only option it gives me is to upgrade to ver 30.

Did you buy both 25 and 27? If so you're probably just using the wrong restore code, you got a different one for each.
Plenty of users running older versions.

If after restoring the correct v27 license you still have that problem of MC losing it, then perhaps ask nicely to get support for it.

If the registration is being lost at random (which isn't normal), something on the system is changing which is causing it to happen, e.g., MAC address randomization is enabled which *can* cause the registration to be lost or the system's hostname changed or the system clock is set wrong, these things changing can cause MC's registration to be lost. Chances are even if you upgraded to MC30, whatever is causing registration to be lost likely would happen there too. You have to figure out what's happening/changing on your system to be causing this in order to correct it and make the registration stick.

I just re-sent your licenses for MC28 and MC26.  Both are Windows only.

You don't have a license for MC27.

Thank you, I do have ver 27 on my other PC and not had a problem. On this PC it constantly has asked to restore the license. Nothing has changed on this PC btw. I'll try updating to ver 28. Cheers
