Playlists gone

They are. Did you try restoring from the latest automatic library backup btw?
I noticed above that said it didn't work, but you didn't expand on that. It makes me think you might have maybe done a little more than just rename that J River folder?
Anyhoo, you're starting from scratch again, so, here's what you can try...
Again, completely close MC.
Open a zip file containing a library backup. Be wary not to use one that was made a time after your folder renaming adventure.
Look for a file named "playlistx.jmd"
Take the file from the zip file and put it in your Library folder at "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\J River\Media Center 30\Library" replacing the existing file. Restart MC.
Are they there?

Dear Marko,
Yes I panicked and made it worse. I tried a backup file from another hard drive but that backup was from today so damaged as well.
I did already installed MC30 and also imported the library. And I noticed that there was a Library backup from today (again). And that is being used. So I will try to use the Library backup file prior to that. That I can do? I think it is 14 days before the one from today and that is fine. I will give that a try.
Your Back and Blue is working fine by the way with MC30. That is always my biggest worries :-)
JimH:
Read the wiki on backup.
Search your drive for backup files. Search for *.zip.
You can restore an MC29 backup to MC30.

OK, I have done it now as per your description. The playlists seems to be there but when opening the different lists they are not complete. For example my Favorite list there are only artists from A to B.
And other list which should contain only Van Morrison also contains other artists.
And some are empty.
And MC is hanging all the time. Also when I try to close down MC. I need to use ctrl+alt+del.
Do you have any idea on what that can be?
Maybe I should do it all over again? Uninstall, restart, install and copy "playlistx.jmd" before I start MC the first time after the installation?
JimH:
Uninstalling and reinstalling won't do anything helpful.
Try older backups.
