Sort order of To Be Recorded

Not sure exactly where this was introduced, somewhere between 29 and 30...

In Theatre View, To Be Recorded list used to be sorted chronologically.  Not sure what other sensible option there is for this, but since upgrading to 30 and now up to 30.0.89, the list seems to be a combination of alphabetical and chronological, not sure it's even that simple but it's just not a usable view any more.

Am I missing a setting somewhere?

If you're in Standard View, click on Date at the top or Name or anything else to change the sort order.

Most likely this is caused by a recent change to achieve performance improvement in Theater View.  I will try fixing this.  You can fix this without waiting for me by customizing Theater View.

Tools > Options > Theater View

Select Video\Guide\To Be Recorded, click "Set rules for file display...", you should get a window as shown in attached screenshot.  Edit the "Modifier" so it becomes "Sort by" "Date Recorded (a-z)"
