Folder play order is broken?

(1/2) > >>

wwwriver:
I recently upgraded to MC30, and found that folder playing order is not working proper.

I use folder view, the major reason I love jriver music center.

So, say I have an opera set, has 3 CDs, it's in folder "Opera XX", the sub-dir under are CD1, CD2 and CD3. Under CD1/CD2/CD3 are Flac tracks.

In custom view rules, I have :
Sort by:
        Filename(path) (a-z)
        Disc# (a-z)
        Track# (a-z)

In Folder view, I displays Album Thumb. So when I browse to  "Opera XX", I can right click the cover and play all 3 CDs in order.

This works very well until I have upgraded. Now it's random in playing tracks.

I think only first rule was broken. (If I have some Disk# tagged properly, the order was fine)...However, too bad , many of them has no disk# tag so it relies on pathname to sort...

wwwriver:
OK, it's not random...

The correct playing order should be CD1 track1, CD1 track2....CD2 track1...CD2 track2..

Now in MC30, it's like CD1 track1, CD2 track1, CD3 track1, CD1 track2.....

wwwriver:
Please, someone at support? Will we fix the bug?

JimH:
Try using Audio under the tree on the left in Standard View.  Does that work?

If they aren't tagged, you won't get what you expect.

Does it do this on all examples or only the ones with no disc number?
