Handheld is now being seen as read only

I have been using media center for years(way back when in was called Media jukebox  ;D).
I am on Linux Mint 21 now and I just ran into a problem when trying to transfer music to my handheld device(Phinistec Z6, which previously has worked well).
First of all I have to use the "send to-> device" two time until, the transfer button shows up(It doesn't show up after I go through the process the first time).
Secondly I am getting an Error for each file I try to transfer.
I did notice that it seems as though media Center is now seeing that device as read only now which may be the issue.
I suspect this may be a linux issue but thought I would check if anyone else was having this problem as well.
