[Feature Request] JRVR - Black Bar - Shift Image

(1/4) > >>

millst:
Any chance of adding a feature similar to the one in madVR? I have a 16:9 screen and mask the bottom for wider 2.35 movies.

Conrad:
I second this. I use a PJ with a fixed 16:9 screen and I use the "move image to the bottom of the screen" feature of MadVR and it's awesome.

I would like the to be able to have the image moved when black bars are detected (and for it to support dynamic resolutions, just like MadVR does). I don't find it jarring at all when there's resolution switches. It makes for an amazing experience when your 2.35:1 image jumps to fill the screen.

This is the one thing that's stopping me moving to JRVR from MadVR.

the description of features planned is in https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,135621.0.html

the approach is to use offline analysis to determine the location of black bars which means it will never be live in the way madvr does it (unless jrvr fundamentally changes approach), at present use of this info is manual (using the set aspect ratio UI option) but I believe the plan is to automate this & drive that via jrvr profiles.

How do we move the play/stop/pause toolbar from the top to within a 2:35 aspect screen? This is probably my only issue when using an A lens for scoped screen.

I have to switch my project back to 16:9 so that i can see the toolbar which is annoying.

You could use the TheaterView "OSD" instead of the StdView "Top Bar"?.  Any MCE remote should do the trick.  Alternatively, if using a keyboard, the up/down arrow keys bring the menu up.  Left/Right arrow is back/fwd.  Play/Pause is the space bar.
