So far everything is running stable. I'll get back to you when I have a log file. Thanks again for the great and fast support.

Funny...I have the same issue.   I've had my library on a HDD for years and decided to move it to a Synology NAS.   I also had a bunch of files I had pruned from the library to make it fit in a smaller hard drive so I could back it up.   I decided to put those back in to the NAS by importing them into the same library.   All was going well until the audio analyzer started on each file.   At some point it crashed and the Mac Mini rebooted on its own.   So I repeated the exercise and this time it hung and I had to manually reboot the Mac with the power button.

So I read the above and will try the log file as suggested.

FYI -- I have the latest Synology DSM, MC V93 and the latest Mac Ventura with an M1 chip.

How are you connected from the Mac to the NAS?  Meaning are you using DLNA, or Windows file sharing (SMB/CIFS), or native Mac file sharing, or something else?

The best practice for NAS with a Mac is to use Windows file sharing.

Log files from either of you (using MC logging) would probably help identify the issue.

Ok I'll try to remember the log file next time :-)

My NAS is connected via mac smb and then I access a share of my music folder.

I just reinstalled MC and while my music directory is being scanned I installed two radio stations. In the process MC crashed. A log was not created, there is only the previouslog.txt that I have attached.

No NAS, just local files on my Mac.  Been using JRiver for a few years and crashes were pretty rare.  Since going to the latest version, getting lots of crashes.  They are random, but do have one consistency, they occur after finishing the last song of an album.
