Changing drives with a Mac
« on: May 02, 2023, 10:44:48 am »

I currently have my Music files on an external HDD.   I want to change to a NAS server and I copied all 3TB by plugging the HDD into the NAS USB port (using Media center COPY would take a week or more).

Now I tried the Find and Replace command in Library tools and replaced the HDD text with the SMB: text and Media Center didn't like the format change.

Anybody have any hints on this?

You will need to use the mountpoint of the filesystem.
It will be /Volumes/Something
you can either enable showing servers in the finder preferences or do a
df -k
from the terminal
