JRemote doesn't find MC30

I got this upgrade offer in my MC29 for MC31. Purchaced and downloaded.
Media Center31 Windows-580817.mjr
Installing didn't work - got an error msg - something like this version doesn't apply to your's.

So I downloaded the latest MC30 and installed.

Now JRemote doesn't find the server. Not by access key and not by IP. (iPad, smarthone...).

Questions:
Why did I get an invalid download?
Why the offer was for MC31 while it's not available?
How can I make it work now?

Tnx
Ofer

JimH:
Thanks for your purchase.  The mjr file isn't the download.  It's an Install Key.  More about licensing:  https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Restoring_a_License

Check the MC31 board on this forum.  You'll find a link to the install file there.

Once you have it installed, if MC didn't find your library, use File > Library > Restore.

thecrow:
JRemote not connecting to a new upgrade of MC is usually a firewall issue.
The simplest way to make the edits in the firewall is to nudge MC to do it for you by going into:
Tools>Options>Media Network then untick and re-tick "Use Media Network to share this library and enable DLNA"
this will start the Media Network Wizard and as you step through it will offer to make the required firewall changes.

maestroaudio:
I did the trick with Firewall, problem persists - Can't connect to server.

Which version should I have got, 30 or 31?

thecrow:
As Jim said above, what you received (the .mjr file) is the licence to run MC 31.
After installing that you need to download the latest version of MC 31 from the forum and install that.
