My Sonos system can only handle a max of 24bit/48K. I have access to files that are either 16/44.1 or 24/96K. If I downsampled the 96k files down to 24bit/48K would they be better quality than untouched 16/44.1?
Common sense tells me 24bit is better than 16bit but I don't know if downsampling would actually make them worse.
