How to create Video ONLY library.

How do I create a separate library that is just for my video collection?  I want to keep it entirely different from my music library.

How do I get MC to recognize and play the various different video formats that I have.

I managed to add some files to a video library but MC cant play them.

Do I need to convert the format or something?

I can play the files in VLC player.

MC should play virtually any video format (out of the box).

-what version of MC?
-what is format that won't play
- what kind of error results from trying to play?
-what are you playing to? PC speakers, receiver, DAC, phone, DLNA device?

There should be lots of folks here that can help.
