Unable to install MC28

I just did a clean install of my Windows PC that was running MC28. I tried installing MediaCenter280107-x64.exe from the Wiki, and then MediaCenter280108-x64.exe. However installation is not happening and there is no Install Wizard screen. Out of curiosity I tried with MediaCenter270085-x64.exe and that seems to install well. At least there the Install Wizard screen does appear. Any ideas?

PS I tried deactivating virus checking and popup blocking, but to no avail.

108 is working for me.  You could reboot and run only that one.

Do you mean MediaCenter280108-x64.exe ? It will not install, also not after a reboot, so I am unable to use it.
I did install 27.0.85 but of course I prefer MC28 for which I have a license.

Someone on our team reproduced this issue.  I just made a test build that installs for him, so I'll publish that soon.  Thanks.
