Hello,
It has been quite awhile since my last visit. Now that I've established a decent wifi connection I'm hoping to be more active.
I'm currently using Media Center 29. I would like to update to 31 but it seems an update to my os will be necessary. I'm currently running Sierra 10.12.6 on a late 2012 MacMini. The Mini has a 500gb SSD and 8gbs of ram. Please advise what os upgrade would be best. Catalina? Or?  I don't want to create problems but do want to take full advantage of JRiver improvements.  I'm mostly using the Mini as a music server with some internet surfing
Thanks everyone,
Jcris

Awesome Donkey:
The minimum is probably 10.13 High Sierra.

Actually currently MC will still run on 10.9. We recommend 10.11. Less than 10.12 will use the older internal browser code when displaying webpages and trackinfos in MC.
This will probably change to 10.13 later in this cycle.

Excellent
Thanks for the quick response

Also, since I have a mini exactly the same as yours, just in general, I wouldn't go past Catalina. It gets really slow with MacOS 11.
10.14 is a pretty decent choice IMO. There's nothing wrong with keeping the version you have until the web browser you are using doesn't update any more.
I don't think Firefox updates on 10.12 any more but I'm pretty sure it does on 10.14.
Safari doesn't update
Chrome MAY update on 10.12 I'm not sure.
