How do I click ahead and back in videos without chapters in MC31?

Hi,

I'm a linux rookie testing MC31 and Ubuntu 2304 and have been unable to go ahead or back when watching a movie without chapters by clicking on the progress bar of the movie at top or at bottom which works in Windows. If I use the mouse wheel to scroll forward or back it works. Is this a MC31 linux limitaton or am I doing something wrong?
