I'm deaf. Normal pattern age-related deafness - I don't hear high frequencies like i used to and i need the equaliser in DSP to compensate. It works very well with my stored files but won't run with youtube.
I forget how I did it but I managed to get a popup in jriver telling me that I should change my device settings to direct sound - 30.5db. Well I managed to find device settings in playback options and changed to direct sound but, for the life of me, I can't see how to reduce to minus 30.5db.
I do understand that I must be deaf and dumb (
) not to know what to do or perhaps I am barking up the wrong tree and should be looking to make the adjustment at my DAC or maybe even DSP Studio doesn't work at all with youtube anyhow but can one of your very nice mods help me out here please

p.s. I am not using jriver anywhere near its capacity but, compared to buying a better hifi item to improve sound quality, it is an absolute bargain.
