Hi, Some time ago I started having problems with my MC 30 installation on a Windows Server 2019 OS. I was hoping the upgrade to MC31 might fix the problem, but it's made things worse.

I did a clean uninstall of MC30, rebooted, installed the new MC31 download, all went fine until I selected the default file types, when it froze.

Uninstalled again, and rebooted. PC locks up half way through reboot.

Forced shut down, started again.

Ran SFC /scannow. No problems.

Reinstalled MC31, this time without specifying files types. Got to end of installation.

Tried to run it. Get the 'already running' message. Open task manager and end task for MC31. Try running again. Simply doesn't open.

Reboot. Try running again. See above - rinse and repeat.

Configure Windows Defender, just as a start.  There's a thread there.  Don't use any other antivirus.
