Ripping unrecognized CDs ?
« on: February 21, 2003, 03:46:12 pm »

Ripping pros, I need your advice, as I do not know how to deal with the following problem.

I am currently in the process of ripping my whole CD collection to APE format using MC.

YADB found most of my CDs but for about a 100.

How to best deal with CDs not found ?  Should I rip one CD, then fill the tags manually from a search on CDDB ?

Is there a better way ?

Please, please, give me some advice !

Use ever MusicMatch or RealONe NOT winAmp to get cd infos.
Close the jukeboxyou used.
Open MC. In the tree under Media Library==cd and dvd , delete the ' unknow or not assigned' entrys you may have.
Put one cd in the drive.
MC will go to 'cdplayer.ini' folder to get cd infos.

NOW BE KIND ENOUGHT TO UPLOAD CD INFOS TO YADB>

And you are ready to rip the cd

Thank you Zevele.  Your information was MUCH more useful than KingSparta's reply

I will contribute those CDs to YADB  8)
