No audio device (HDMI) detected

Trying JRiver for the first time in awhile - it doesn't seem to detect my HDMI port as an audio device.  Windows OS, VLC, and foobar all work fine.  I've excluded JRiver folders in Defender

Additionally, I always have to right-click Run As Administrator otherwise I get errors such as attached.  Did I go about instllation wrong?  I actually tried reinstalling, but no luck.  Running Windows 11 - all updates installed as of 7/22/23.  TY!
