no music on ipod

My ipod after syncing music to it, shows no music. I don't how to solve this issue. Everything syncs perfectly but once i eject the ipod, the ipod shuts down and when it turns back on the ipod shows no artists, no albums and no playlists even though all the songs are on the ipod nothing shows up. Does anyone know how to solve this problem. by the way i initialized the ipod, but nothing.
