Hello. Last week I was able to synch a playlist of FLAC files to an ipod classic 5th gen in MC31, using the ALAC conversion option. Then I restored the ipod to factory settings (to solve an unrelated problem). Now when I try to sync the same playlist, I get "Error" in the Status column for all tracks. I've also tried it with a playlist of entirely different tracks, and converting to MP3 instead, but no joy. I'm running MacOS Ventura 13.5.1. The music files live on an external drive that is connected before synch starts.

- Is there any way to get details on the error?
- Does anyone know if the ipod restore could've had something to do with this issue?
- Any ideas how to resolve it? I've seen references in this forum to an Initialize Ipod option, but I don't see it when I right-click on the device in the tree.
