fredimac:
Now i buy'd a license - after start MediaCenter310053-Universal and change language to german Mediacenter crashes perpetual
I upgraded to MediaCenter310054-Universal  the same!

How I could upload private or send by email the Crash Reports?

M1 MacMini 16GB RAM, 2TB SSD, Ventura 13.5.2

Short crash report append.

Annoying - I just wanted to listen to music from my extensive collection.
And make comparisons with my other players:
foobar2000 v2.6 beta
Fidelia (from Apple's Appstore)
Audirvana Studio

Addendum: Is it possible to create several profiles to handle this separately?
Audio only
Video only
Photo only

fredimac:
Now I archived all old settings in ~/Library/Application Support/J River
Renamed com.jriver.MediaCenter31 too
Starting MediaCenter31 in English language, but after a short time it crashes.

I work with Standarduser not Adminuser.
Malwarebytes installed, but without realtime scan, only the trial version.

bob:
Almost certainly a permissions issue.
MC needs multiple permissions to run properly.
Normally it will prompt for those permissions, you need to OK them for it to work.
Otherwise you'll need to set them manually.
I see you are on MacOS 13. These may not all map the same (these are from MacOS 12) but you need to add (under Security & Privacy->Privacy)
Accessibility
Input Monitoring (for media keys)
Files and Folders (anything you use, picture attached)
Screen recording (for when MC needs to copy and image from one place to another within MC) Not allowing this will not crash MC but some things will be a little off.
Photos (to allow access to images)

JimH:
Or MalwareBytes.

fredimac:
Malwarebytes is only scan on demand - no realtime scan!
With other Mediacenter versions before, I had problems. But this old settings I copy in a archive folder.

I logged in with my admin user and copy some music in his music folder, Mediacenter works well - and there are no permissions needed.

Another thing some tracks use japanese characters. But this works well with Mediacenter versions before.
