I have many (!!!) albums with UTF-8 characters
bob:
How did you import these files? Existing files on disc? Ripped in MC? Using auto-import or drag/drop?
MC doesn't have issues with utf-8 on Mac, I have plenty of those in my library.
fredimac:
The most albums are ripped from CDs. I used XLD, but mostly dBpoweramp Music Converter.
Some music are downloaded (HDTracks, Qobuz, 2L Music Store, Linn Records, etc.)
For editing I use Mp3tag.
All music players, except MC31, display this information correctly. So that a problem of MC31.
As audio player I use:
foobar2000 v2.3
Foobar2000 v2.6 beta
Fidelia (from Apple's App Store)
Audirvana Studio
Media Center 31
Ripping:
dBpoweramp Music Converter (Ripping, Converting)
XLD (Ripping)
Editing, Test:
Mp3tag (Meta Text Editing)
PerfectTUNES (AccurateRip)
M1 MacMini, Ventura 3.5.2
