I suggest you revert to build 54.

So it turns out that the new exif code exposed a generic underlying issue with handling bad data that could cause crashing.
It will be fixed in build 31.0.58

That's out now. Please give it a try. I imported 33k mixed media files over NFS from my Id into MC Mac without issue.
