MCWS request - log flush and log path
« on: October 01, 2023, 12:36:33 pm »

I would like to be able to automatically capture the MC logs when "things happen" and before the log fills up and wraps. I am currently trying to pin down an occasional long delay in starting to play an album (https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,137008.0.html). I can detect it happening, but when I copy the MC log (even after a 30 delay), it often does not have what I need as information is still buffered.

Would it be possible to cause the log to be flushed to disk via MCWS or an MCC command?

Ideally, I would also like to get the log path in the response to "alive" (if logging is enabled). Currently I hard-wire the path I need into my code.

If it's not too clunky, perhaps "alive" could even be the action that causes the log to flush as a side-effect!
