Thanks you very much for taking the time to dive into my isseu. It is, as you said a bit of a read, but I think I can try out what suits me best. It is too bad, that the UniqueID does not populate automatically, like with MS-SQL etc. but it could work as you descibed it. My database is very much so not full, so there will be manual labour involved ;-)

I need to look at the Date field, this looks the simplest solution. The filename friendly date field is new for me, looks perfect if the field is filled.

Each file already has a unique ID in the database, it's the [FileKey] field or FileKey() function. It may not be sequential, but it's unique.
