I bought a Linux only licence for MC32 on Jan 28 2024 with the special upgrade price, but I should have bought the Master Licence. My mistake.  Is there anyway I can change that and pay the difference to get a Master Licence?
Thanks,
Derek

MC32 is now available
Great news, have just purchased a licence for MC32
I use 29 currently
The 32 installed failed immediately on clicking the download file. Because, it said, the licence I was using was for 30 and I needed to install that (30) version. I have installed 30, but when I try to licence it, the code I have (for29) isn't valid. Not surprising. I've not entered my code for 32, so wonder why it doesn't let me run the install even for a trial. I'm in a loop, can anyone suggest a way through

I bought the 32 version, I'm trying to install it but doesn't succeed. Windows asks me if I allow to make changes at the computer, I say yes and nothing happens...

Probably a problem with Windows Defender.  Update it.

Hi guys. I have an old version of Windows JRiver with code 26.26.0.107 and I want to know if it is possible to get a MAC version for the update. I really enjoy JR, but due to work reasons I had to change the operating system.

Thank you very much in advance for your response.

I am running  latest version of JRMC31 and just purchased upgrade to with mjr in DOWNLOADS folder.  I received emails with both LICENSE and REGISTRATION.

When I click on the INSTALLER, system goes off somewhere and never shows 32 as being installed?!

I seem to  have this issue every time I try to install an upgrade.

That's probably an antivirus problem.  Update Windows Defender.  Don't use anything else.

Download MC32.  Run the exe file.  Then restore.  Details are here:

Hi,

In reading through forum posts and some instructions, they never mention the versioning of the OS.  Is that because it is not dependent upon OS Versioning?

I have MC26 at the moment running on MacBook Pro 10.15.7 Catalina and Windows 7.

Will MC32 run on these two versions of the OS?

Can not upgrade my OS.

Thank you.

From the Download Page:

requires at least MacOS High Sierra 10.13. See here for install instructions:  https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Mac_Installation_%26_Removal

Hi,
Everyone, I was an old customer with version 22 or 23 and thought of returning to JRiver.  can I upgrade to the latest version 32, runs on win10 and/or win11?
Also please direct me to your website which lists the latest features on V32.

Thanks.

Hello Jim,

I purchased a MC license on 4/24/2023, and I am running MC 31.0.87. I downloaded and installed MC 32.0.20 and tried to install my old license, but it said "your license is not valid for media center". According to your previous post, licenses MC 31.0.83 and above should be valid for MC 32.

Am I doing something wrong here?

No.  An MC32 license will work with MC31, but the reverse won't work.  Here's how you can upgrade to MC32:

You probably need to install the version that matches your license.

Trying to upgrade from 28 to 32. I restored, but still tells me I have to restore from an old registration. 32 won’t load.

You don't need to restore until you've purchased the upgrade.  You do need an old license to upgrade.  Try the first post in this thread for more complete information.

I just upgraded to MC32 after living happily with 23 for a very long time.  One thing I noticed is that the volume level needs to be quite a bit higher on 32 vs. 23 to get the same output on my headphones.  All settings seem to have loaded properly on 32, nothing else changed.  Is there something else to change?  It's not really a big deal, just curious why the volume changed.

Settings are probably different.  Compare the two versions.

Also check Windows sound levels in the mixer.  Right click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner.

I love the product and want to upgrade. My most recent version is MC25 and I admit I struggled with the instructions. i just hope I can ask some basic questions as I attempt the upgrade. 1) I believe I need to upgrade to a master licence to use on 2 laptops? Is this correct/ if so it may explain why I could never add MC25 to a new laptop.

if so no problem I'll upgrade to Master Licence. I just restored my licence but this is the newer laptop it was never working on. I'm already confused about if I need to install old version MC25 or new MC32.

To be clear I have MC25 working fine on one laptop, I would like to have MC32 on 2 laptops. I am not computer savvy so in basic form what steps do I need to take to complete this upgrade. I thank you for your patience.

No need to install an old version.  You just need the old license.

If both computers are the same OS family (Windows or Mac, for instance), a Master License isn't needed.

Please follow the instructions in the first post.

I did receive and appreciate a reply on my upgrade and now understand that I do not need to upgrade to a master license as both laptops are windows OS and that I do not need to install an old version. I did restore my licence today and am told to follow the instructions in the first post. Not sure where to find this I have enough trouble trying to post a question and then finding it again to see if there is an answer. Perhaps you mean upgrade instructions from Nov 13th?, if so I don't know if I need to restore, install? I love JRiver but it is so much harder than it should be to work with. For non-computer nerds the instructions are hard to follow and that is if you can find them. There ends up being a lot of guesswork involved if you are not familiar with the terminology. It took me a long time with MC22 and 25 and I hoped I would not have to go thru it again. If more complete answers were given I'm sure it would greatly cut down the repeat queries. I just purchased the MC32 upgrade and am really confused about "what my next step should be". Can someone please steer me in the right direction, I kind of need step by step instructions then I will not bother again. MC25 is currently working on my old HP laptop and I am trying to add MC32 on my new Acer then upgrade the MC25 to MC32 on the HP. Thanks
