Mainly a public service announcement, to anyone out there who was curious about Gizmo vs JRemote (or, in my case, JRemote2 for Android):
I have been using Gizmo on my Android devices for some time. I have nothing bad to say about it -- it generally worked just fine and I was able to do what I needed. I have JRiver on several Windows systems in a few rooms, and Gizmo provided the functionality I needed.
I recently tried JRemote2. I am very pleased and want to offer major compliments to the developers. JRemote2 for Android is more responsive, sleeker, and more intuitive. So far, it allows me to do pretty much anything I need. It is very much worth the upgrade. If anyone is on the fence, or just unaware, blissfully ignorant like I was, I strongly recommend making the switch. And, again, thank you to the developers for this product.
