It  looks like the Sonoma Defaults in Settings>Desktop & Dock>Mission Control is for the top and bottom options is Switched On and the other 2 Switched Off.

After the fun and games I've had with some of the Sonoma 14.4 Beta Releases it wouldn't surprise me to find out Sonoma thinks every display attached to a M Series Mac is a Virtual Display  ::)

That is somewhat odd.
I did find a way to deal with the issue though and it will be in the next release.
