i'll upgrade to multi-os if you solve problem with duplicate mp3 on sync

some time ago i sync'd to my phone. i ended up with mp3's paired with .flac files so the tunes play twice. How do i get rid of these mp3's? i don't want to do anything clever or engage in a research project. i just want to get rid of them and re-catalog. tell me how and i'll do the mega upgrade to 32.

i'd say delete your mp3s from MC.... delete everything on your phone and re-sync.  I don't know what "re-catalog" means.
