issues with aac codec

currenty have some aac coded tv shows and they dont play well on our AV onkyo
These files do not play in 5.1
Anyone got ay clues how to make them work as we use bitstream its not decoding them

AAC cannot be bitstreamed, so it has to be decoded. You would have to specify more of your setup.

Thanks for your reply. It is disappointing to find a lot of files coded in this way. I try to get DD 5.1 whenever possible.
We have a onkio DVR that plays all our media but streamed.
It handles most formats but not all aparently
