How to send playlist choices from one MC instance to another? [Solved]
KeekUras:
Hello! I searched the forum and I'm not finding my question (could by my choice of search term), but here's my dilemma:
I have JRiver MC running in Linux, it acts as my media server.
I have the JRiver MC Windows client I run for listening to music.
If I add as song to the playlist on the Windows machine, that choice isn't replicating to the playlist on the Linux machine. Can you tell me how I need to configure things to make this work? It's got to be a setting I'm missing.
Thanks in advance!

i believe you have to set up authentication on your server. Tools.... option.... media network......authentication. Then when log in from your client with the credentials.... it should accept your playlist additions/changes.

Thank you for the quick response. I tried and it doesn't seem to work. Also I notice that section says "Read only authentication", which doesn't seem that I'd be able to make changes.
JimH:
Set a login and password on the server, then use it when you connect from the client.
Reboot if necessary.

Thank you for the reply. I did this and I'm not prompted when I open the Windows client.
