Never the less I tried your proposed commands. The answer was: libnss3 is already the newest version (2:3.87.1-1).

Have a look at the logs in /log/jriver/current inside the container. Might tell you whats missing.

I just installed the new shiomax/jrivermc:latest but I got the same error: There was a problem loading the web browser engine.

/log/jriver/current:
2024-07-26 10:40:15.242820308  jriver: starting...
2024-07-26 10:40:18.738393883  JRWeb: error while loading shared libraries: libcef.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
2024-07-26 10:40:24.101503483  stat: cannot read file system information for '/config/Music/': No such file or directory
2024-07-26 10:41:15.202846733  JRWeb: error while loading shared libraries: libcef.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

You can see the availability of "/config/Music" in my /config definition (/Container/MC) and my configuration of the Docker container I defined in my attachments.
The /config definition is correct! When I write the letters 'J' and 'R' in this forum they disappear!!! /container/'JR'MC

HaWi:
I am not sure your file structure is correct.
I can't see a MC32 folder
I can't see a MC32/data folder
Now I am not familiar with QNAP but on the Synology I have a folder for all docker container permanent data
Within that there are the top folders, e.g. MC32
Then I have MC32/data, MC32/data/music, MC32/data/Library and MC32/config
The rest is filled in automatically upon install

The file structure seems to be okay!?
The JRiver Media Center folders are in the hidden .jriver folder in the /config (Container/'JR'MC) folder. [pic 01 - made inside container]
The multimedia folders are the /data/classical, /data/music etc. folders. [pic 02 - made inside container]

Everything seems to be fine with the file based functionalities.

I am a little bit surprised, because for the first time there is no program folder outside the container visible! [pic03 - made outside container]

HaWi:
I am a bit at a loss because your structure looks very different from mine.
I believe that under your MC folder you need a data and a config folder and within that data folder you need a music folder that maps to your actual media folder where your physical music files are stored.
It is possible that your structure should work, too but I am not sure.
Maybe Max can weigh in here.
EDIT: I don't think the data and config folder can be in the hidden .jriver folder. It's the other way round for me.
My structure is like in the attachment.
