Auto switching of sound output device?

Hello. Coming from iTunes, when I chose the output destination in Sound Preferences, I could send music to whichever device was selected. See screenshot. With MC31, I can get sound output when choosing my USB DAC (ADI-2) connected to my stereo from the Options -> Audio -> Audio Device menu. But if I choose anything else (in MC Options and/or in Mac menu), like Mac internal speakers, or my connected desktop computer speakers, I get no sound. Wondering what I'm doing wrong to not be getting sound from multiple options, but yet one is working. Also, is there a more direct or automated way to switch between speaker outputs based on the system settings which are easily accessible in the menu bar? Thanks!
