Purchase Problems
David Sydney:
No VPN running and I just tried on another platform (Linux), different machine where I know Paypal has a cookie keeping me logged in as I have used it on Amozon / ebay etc... and I got the same result flash up after it goes through 'we recognise you on this device' ... end result 'transaction declined to comply with international regulations'.. the url of the error suggests it is based on 'key&merchant name'
I'm at a loss?
Canot contact anyone live at Paypal.?
David
JimH:
David,
Do you have a Windows machine you can try? You just need your Registration Code. You'll get a new one that you can then use on any machine.
That would eliminate our server and your IP address as the problem. We're not seeing many Paypal problems at the moment.
There are a lot of foolish "security" measures on the Internet now and it can sometimes make life more difficult.
We did change a digital certificate recently and that did cause some problems, but I think it's mainly done now. Maybe something special about Linux?
Thanks for your patience.

The original problem was on a windows 10 machine, I get the same on Linux - and now I have just tried it on my S21 Android phone and I got the same result - thats on the mobile network not wifi so completely different connection. The trifecta - Windows, Linux & Android, no VPN, all the same result.
I tried to lodge a question to Paypal, all I get is the chatbot giving me the same references to look at, to understand why it's something I am doing wrong...as if, I am doing the same prcess I have done since finding MC at version 22. Then it eventually it askes - "will I Send a notification to customer service" ... Ah Yes! Then Paypal says it will "get back to me" - not holding my breath.

JimH:
That sounds like it's a Paypal problem. They just don't like your account for some reason. Maybe the email address? Or the bank it's connected to? Maybe your bank could help.
