Feature Request: Add dir for Options>File Location>Program Files>Custom Views
(1/1)
markf2748:
Background: The user should be able to set default directories for these actions:
Customize View... > Settings... > Saved Views > Load a view from file...
Customize View... > Settings... > Saved Views > Save this view...
Currently this does not appear to be possible.
I find that Load a view from file... defaults to C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 32 which does not make any sense to me.
I find that Save this view... defaults to C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Roaming\J River\Media Center 32\Library\Saved Views\. This makes some sense but I am concerned the contents of this folder may be changed by MC without my knowledge.
Request: Please add the subject section (or similar) to Options. Otherwise, clearly implement the same stable default directory for both Save this view... and Load a view from file.... If the user changes to some other directory on the fly while saving or loading, then UI should remember the last directory used.
Matt:
Next build we'll switch to this:
Changed: Loading views starts in the saved views folder under the library.
Saving the last used folder is an interesting idea as well, but let's try the change above first.
Thanks.
