I had two programs fail to record in the last 24 hours using MC 32.26. I happened to be watching a movie when the second one tried to start and noticed that the system was very sluggish and the movie actually dropped some frames a few times per minute. I looked at Task Manager while this was happening and CPU utilization and network utilization were both less than 20%.
I tried rebooting the PC and saw the same issue after it restarted while it still tried to do something with the recording. Looking at the log file, it seems like the recording should have given up pretty quickly but I don't understand why it failed or why the system performance was erratic. I did manage to get the movie stabilized and watched it for the next two hours. I also noticed that the recording did start after about 20 minutes and finished successfully. Since I did not lose network access, I am not sure why the recordings failed to start on time. This morning I created a new scheduled recording and it started on time and seems to be proceeding normally.
